The cases Illinois State Police investigator Rick White of Wayne County has been messing up due to no reason other than his involvement are reaching legendary-numbers status.
And a back-page article in the July Special Edition adds another one in a growing list.
His “involvement,” however, is a little different in the case of Jeffrey Casillas, who was formerly accused of child molestation, but recently acquitted.

WHITE CO.—An accused man’s aversion to talking to a specific Illinois State Police investigator may have been what won him his freedom on Friday, June 20.
It was on that day that a White County jury, having heard all evidence at trial against Jeffrey David Casillas, 28, of Enfield, ended after about two hours of deliberation with a “not guilty” verdict.
And of note is the fact that when investigator Rick White took the stand to give testimony for the state, he couldn’t produce much…because Casillas had refused to talk to White in the course of his investigation into the alleged October 2013 crime.
Casillas was charged last October with four separate counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a Family Member, age….
