ELDORADO, Ill. — Officials have now released the details of yesterday’s accident at the new Mimmo’s Pizza in Eldorado.
Vicky McWhirter, a resident of Norris City, was the sole occupant of the vehicle that ran into the pizzeria. Authorities reported that the vehicle ran into the dining area, and caused substantial damages. The building had only recently been remodeled for the opening of the new store.
As good luck would have it, there were no injuries as a result of the accident, and this might be thanks to the fact that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Even McWhirter was able to walk away unscathed.
McWhirter told responding officers that her vehicle had brake failure, which resulted in her running into the building.
There have been no citations issued in the incident as of today.
