STERLING, Ill.— New information has been released in the case of a Rockford man who is being sought for the murder of a Monticello woman at a Willow Creek Illinois rest stop.
Illinois State Police investigators are working with the U.S. Marshals, the Rockford Police Department, and authorities nationwide in search of Terence Doddy, 36, of Rockford, who is suspected in the murders of Tonya Bargman, 44, of Monticello, Ill., July 1 at the Willow Creek rest stop and Todd Hansmeier, 37, on June 30 in Rockford, Ill.
Investigators have obtained new surveillance video and are now releasing details of the vehicle they believe Doddy stole from Bargman after killing her.
The vehicle is described as a gray 2013 Nissan Altima bearing Illinois registration BERGMN2 with specific details that include a silver colored “Illini Nissan” decal located at the lower rear bumper of the vehicle.
Authorities have also released an updated photo of Doddy, obtained from a store surveillance camera, showing Doddy leaving the store.
While the store is not being named at this time, authorities say it is located in Rockford, Ill.
Doddy is also said to be in possession of a blue dome styled camping tent.
Investigators have issued law enforcement alerts nationwide and police have received numerous tips and leads from the public. Anyone with any information or sightings of the vehicle should immediately call 911.
Law enforcement officials continue to urge the public to take the necessary safety precautions when visiting rest stop areas, campgrounds and other outdoor areas during the holiday weekend.
