LAWRENCE CO., Ill.—A benefit and concert for Lea “Nikki” Piper, the woman who was badly beaten in an incident in early December 2013 in St. Francisville, will be held this Saturday (tomorrow, May 10, 2014) in Lawrenceville.
The benefit will be going on at the Lawrenceville Elks Lodge on 12th Street, just north of the Towne House Bar & Grill.
On the menu will be BBQed pork & chicken with all the trimmings including cheesy potatoes; this will be served from 5 pm-7 pm provided by “Up In Smoke BBQ.”
Then, music will be provided by the Hard Knocks Band; performance starts at 7 pm.
Piper’s skull was shattered and she lost teeth in the incident, which, she told investigators, was caused by a ball bat, allegedly at the hands of her longtime boyfriend, Tommy Shoulders, who is awaiting prosecution on a Class 3 felony Aggravated Battery charge. Piper has massive medical bills, and therapy treatments yet to undergo, so please plan to attend and help out!
