There are a few things in life that you can count on to bring you grief if you find yourself in excesses with them. Among these are vices like alcohol or medications, or habits like gambling.
And then, there are other things in life that you can have a lot less control over. Like ex-wives or ex-girlfriends.
And it’s the latter that’s posing exceptional problems for the subject in this Read the Lead, that situation exacerbated because a couple of the exes have decided to team up against him and cause as much difficulty as possible.
Due to our own problems with Orders of Protection, most folks are well aware by now our feelings on that particular court option. Regardless of what the Illinois legislators and judiciary say, OPs aren’t due process, simply by virtue of the fact that Person A can stand in front of a judge and declare that Person B, against whom they are petitioning and who isn’t present to defend himself, is “suicidal” and “armed and dangerous” and, due to certain obvious aspects of Person B’s life about which Person A can show evidence (he is a cop, an avid hunter, or a target sportsman), proof is provided he is “armed” and the court can remove Person B’s weapons and FOID card…without any proof at all of being “suicidal” OR “dangerous.” Therefore, Person B is disarmed and illegal if, before he’s notified that such court action was taken against him, he goes to even purchase ammo with his FOID…and is made a criminal. Without DUE PROCESS.
Such is the case with former Lawrence County deputy and former Palestine police officer Josh Green, who made a mistake in choice of jealous girlfriends, and who is now paying for it by having had his FOID and weapons removed without due process, at least until later this month when he appears on multiple OPs as filed by his exes. Yes, they teamed up and ensured this was carried out; the how and why is explained in this evening Read the Lead, Evidence shows lies used to obtain OP:

CRAWFORD CO.—The former Palestine officer who was arrested in mid-March on a Domestic Battery count may have been the victim of a set-up.
The revelation about Josh Green, 28, now of Bridgeport, came about after Disclosure staff had an online in-depth discussion with the woman whom he allegedly “beat,” Deborah Crist, and/or the nurse Crist employs to care for her disabled son, Stephanie Sessions.
The altercation that ultimately lost Green his job with Palestine occurred on March 18. The following Sunday (March 23), after a conference with Palestine police chief Jeff Besing and mayor Pat Schofield, Green, who was essentially told “quit or be fired,” as this was his second arrest on a violent charge: the first came in 2010 in Wabash County following a fight between Green and the brother of one of Green’s babymommas, Adam Polston, after Polston came at Green with a large bolt in his fist, and attacked Green over babymomma Lyndsey Polston’s accusations that Green was “violent” toward her. In fact, just the opposite was true: Polston was actually violent toward Green, her bizarre behavior finally coming to the fore in August of 2013 when she stabbed Green in the arm in the presence of their then-3-year-old daughter.
It’s believed that Lyndsey Polston (whose case in Knox County, Indiana, has been continued from an April jury trial date until August 27), coordinated an effort with Crist to cause as much trouble for Green as possible, the trouble being defined as….
