WILLIAMSON CO., Ill.—The man convicted of killing young Trevor Martin will be spending the next couple of years in prison.

dunn, danny dinkDanny “Dink” Dunn, 38, of Creal Springs, was sentenced this morning in Williamson County circuit court after being found guilty in early March of Involuntary Manslaughter of Martin, age 22.

The incident occurred in late June last year, at a party at Dunn’s house in Creal Springs. Authorities have been completely closed off on what caused the fight, but sources at the party advised Disclosure last summer that it was because of Martin making joking but vulgar comments over one of the other party guests, and Dunn “taking it outside” and inflicting a beating on Martin. Martin subsequently fell and struck his head on some broken-up concrete outside the home, and the ensuing head injury proved fatal: family opted to pull life support in the well-liked young man four days later.

Dunn was sentenced this morning to four years DOC; with truth in sentencing/good behavior, he may be released in a little over two years.
