HARRISBURG, Ill. — The suspect in a stabbing that occurred in Harrisburg on Monday, March 24, 2014, is now being held at Saline County Detention Center.
The suspect has been identified by Saline County Police Chief Bob Smith as being Amy Tolley,19, of Harrisburg.
Brianna Sisk was stabbed on Monday night, at approximately 10:20PM, when she and Tolley got into a verbal disagreement. The two know each other, and were at a residence on West Baker Street when the stabbing occurred.
Sisk was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center, and later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in
Evansville, Ind. She is in stable condition and recovering.
Tolley is being held on a charge of Aggravated Battery and Illegal Use of a Weapon. Additional charges, such as Attempted Murder, may be added within the next couple of days, according to the discretion of States Attorney
Mike Henshaw.
