Josh Green, when he was a Lawrence County deputy
PALESTINE, Ill.—Jeff Besing, police chief of the village of Palestine in eastern Crawford County, has issued the following press release:
At approx. 9:00 p.m. last night (Tuesday, March 18th) Palestine Police Officer Joshua Green was arrested by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for Domestic Battery after being involved in an alleged domestic related incident with his live-in girlfriend (Deborah Crist) at their residence in Palestine. Officer Green was on duty at the time of the alleged incident.
Chief Jeffrey S. Besing placed Officer Green on immediate unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation that is being conducted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Ms. Crist is a recent move-in, which many people advised Green against doing, especially in light of the fact that he’s still being surreptitiously harassed by former babymomma Lindsey Polston, who goes to court in a few weeks after charges last summer that she stabbed Green in the arm.
