SALINE CO.—As many of you may know, the jailhouse phone calls made by Todd Fort, 45, former Saline County chief deputy/Harrisburg Board of Education president charged in 2010 with 17 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault/Official Misconduct, were submitted to Disclosure after a FOIA request was sent for them to be disclosed by the Saline County State’s Attorney’s office to this news organization.
The calls, which began upon Fort’s jailing at the Jackson County Detention Center in Murphysboro July 20, 2010, are being released at this time due to the fact that Fort will be completing his prison sentence on February 20, 2012, and released from where he is being held at Graham Correctional Center.
The calls should appear here according to how they were made beginning shortly after 3 p.m. on the afternoon of July 20 and continuing throughout the day.
As we proceed through the transcript, which the first several calls are featured in the current issue of Disclosure, we’ll post more calls. They continue for weeks; so be watching.
In order to read along, you’ll have to have THIS MONTH’S issue of Disclosure, January/February 2012, which is currently on stands in most locations (we are sold out in some venues; please check for availability in your area). This issue is only on stands until Monday/Tuesday of NEXT WEEK, as, beginning Feb. 12, we will begin delivering the February/March 2012 issue.
