CARBONDALE—The body of a student from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale who went missing last Wednesday was found this morning.

While we’re still waiting on a press conference scheduled for 2 p.m., authorities have confirmed that the body of Pravin Varughese, 19, was found this morning in a location just off Giant City Road in Carbondale. Reports came in to Disclosure earlier this morning of police searching the area behind Kohl’s department store; it’s unclear exactly where the body was found, and that will likely be the subject of the presser.
Varughese was last seen almost a week ago—Wednesday, February 12—when he was attending a party at a location on West College Street in Carbondale.
