CRAWFORD CO.—Our sources in Crawford County are advising at this hour (4 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014) that there are more mystery “booms” being heard and felt on their area.
In particular, these sounds are coming from the vicinity south of Oblong.
In recent weeks, those in the Palestine area have experienced the booms, with no explanation.
But, at about the same time (this occurring two weekends ago), the booms were also fairly consistent across the plains south of Oblong, too…so it was sort of county-wide, which, as you can see by the map, is fairly sizable.
On pleasant days like today it, oftentimes those who use Tannerite will get out, and that could be the source of the booms.
However, rarely do the sounds ever get traced to something as tangible…and people just worry.
There is no mining/blasting going on in or around Crawford County, so that can’t be an explanation for this series of booms.
Many experiencing these booms nationwide are likening them to what the U.S. Geological Survey calls Seneca Guns. These, historically, have been heard prior to major earthquakes.
Beyond that, we here at Disclosure have examined extensively some booms we heard/felt here in Saline County almost a year ago. These were accompanied by a flash that was observed even in daylight. There was never any explanation forwarded for this, despite the fact that we contacted every possible agency/entity who could enlighten us on the matter.
