ELDORADO—Another young person in Saline County has died, and it appears that it was by his own hand.
According to sources, Eldorado resident Tyler Goldsberry, 18, was found hanging by electrical cord this afternoon, January 7, 2012.
Another resident had gone by the young man’s house at about 11:30 a.m. today and thought they had seen him talking on his phone near the ditch that runs behind his house. The resident reported that nothing was thought of it, as Goldsberry often went out there to talk, although whether it was for privacy or for better reception, remains unknown.
However, prior to this, a message appeared on his Facebook page, reportedly at 12:18 a.m. The message read “Look by the ditch.” When friends became concerned about him, there was a brief investigation, and he was subsequently found by the ditch that runs near his house. The resident who had seen him earlier apparently hadn’t gotten a very good look and had incorrectly assumed that he was just out there on the phone and was alright.
The tragedy apparently had no warning other than the Facebook message, as Goldsberry was preparing to go into the military according to not only his Facebook, but sources who knew him.
Here’s the screencap of the message and the ensuing responses to it:
If there’s more to the information, we’ll bring it.
