HARRISBURG—Reports of another fight at the biker bar in Harrisburg, Poor Boys, have been confirmed. The fight occurred Wednesday night, January 4.
According to our sources, this particular fight, one of many that have gone unreported by local mainstream media, was between Eric Rollins and a man by the name of Hurst (we’re still working on Hurst’s first name). Reportedly, Rollins, who has a criminal history that involves violence and who is allegedly seeing Poor Boys’ owner Jim Watson’s ex-girlfriend/bartender, Brooke Engles, got riled up over something and the fight ensued. What Hurst’s part in the riling up was in it is unclear….no one is able to determine who started it or how. Yet. But reportedly, it was a “pretty bad fight,” according to those who were present. Enough for the law to have been called….but no one as yet is reporting on that aspect of it, or whether it even happened at all. Thus far, no charges have been filed. But then again, there were no charges filed in the LAST fight either.
This latest Poor Boys fight has got other bar owners in tha ‘burg fuming. This is because all establishments received a letter after the mess last summer when Brandon Bebout was beating within an inch of his life at Poor Boys, the letter stating that if there was “one more fight” at the establishments, they “would be shut down.” In particular, Centerfield bar took issue with this because they haven’t had a fight there in two years….but PBs has fights almost every other week, and they’re still open.
Now, the burden is on mayor Eric Gregg, about whom grumblings are now emitting from the general public about possible unsavory connections between him and PBs owners, Jim Watson and Robert ChickenBob Wilson (yes, Zach, ChickenBob does have ownership interest in the bar, as do many northern-connected, even MORE unsavory characters). Many Gregg supporters, however, are hoping and yes, praying that Gregg is just biding his time and perhaps has a strategy regarding Poor Boys, and isn’t giving in to favoritism. Maybe the most recent announcement at a city council meeting has something to do with it. But the naysayers are stating they’re not holding their breath….especially in light of the fact that no charges have been filed in the most recent fights, and hence the most recent piece of artwork to be inspired:
Let’s all hope that the changes are about to be made….but what do you think, readers? Is this the beginning of the end for Poor Boys, or is there a reason for the delay?
