SALINE CO.—We’ve received word of a possible suicide occurring yesterday in the Carrier Mills area.
We do have a name, this according to friends of the young man who live in the area, but because there’s no obituary notice yet, we’re not going to run the name until official notification.
It’s the understanding of the friends of this young man, who was all of 21, that he was going through a divorce and that it was causing an inordinate amount of grief for him.
Officially, our sources have indicated that the Saline County Sheriff’s Department received a call just after 4 pm yesterday, January 2, regarding a death on Tuller Road outside Carrier Mills. The report to the SCDC indicated that the young man shot himself.
Unofficially, our sources have indicated that he’d gotten a job out-of-state, but that he’d been home for the holidays.
