HARRISBURG, Ill.—Following much acrimony and contentions with the Harrisburg Schools Board of Education, Harrisburg Superintendent Dennis Smith is out as superintendent.
The word just reached Disclosure that a vote was taken today, and the board chose to not keep Smith on as superintendent. Under what circumstances, we still don’t know; it’s our intent to issue FOIAs to learn just what’s behind this move.
We had heard from sources close to the board that this might be coming. It apparently occurred today.
