WHITE CO., Ill.—There have been a lot of complaints out of White County about ice on the roads…but nothing like this one.
This guy wants White County to turn the heating elements on under the interstate so his truck can go faster than 45 mph because when he “goes faster than 45, I start to slide all over the place” and “it’s illegal for ice to be falling on the road.”

Our thanks to the anonymous person who submitted the sound file to us. We don’t know where this trucker is from, but we’re going to try not to go there anytime soon…things are bad enough in Illinois.
(Note: not all truckers are like this. We realize that. There are a handful that give the rest a bad way to go, however. Sorry.)
