UPDATE 7:30 p.m.
The building has been cleared, and all owners or those associated with it have been questioned; the nature of the questioning is unknown, but there is no Carter there. Police have left the area.
More if it happens.
UPDATE 7 p.m.
It’s being reported that there’s been nothing suspicious found at the below location. We’re awaiting official confirmation, but it appears this was another dead end lead. Owner Ty Heckler was called to the location and was en route about 20 minutes ago; all communication has gone silent since then, and we have no one on the ground at the site, so we’re awaiting further word.
More if it happens; keep checking.
CRAWFORD CO.—This information is coming to us directly from a source on the ground, NOT from officials:
Authorities, primarily Robinson police, have a Robinson tattoo shop surrounded in their search for an escaped inmate, Jared Carter. Epic Ink Tattoo, 506 South Cross Street, owned by Ty Heckler, is the subject of authorities’ searching right now. A person on the ground there was told to move away, as the police “believe the escapee is hiding upstairs in one of the apartments.” Heckler used to be an employee at the prison from which Carter escaped Friday morning.
The entire area has been blocked off.
More as we get it.
