KNOX CO., Ind.—The woman who is alleged to have stabbed a Palestine police officer last night in Vincennes remains in Knox County lockup this afternoon.
Sources at the Knox County Jail in Vincennes confirmed that Lyndsey Polston, 25, of Bridgeport, Ill., remains behind bars after she is reported to have walked into Denny’s restaurant on North Sixth Street in Vincennes last night between 8 and 8:15 p.m. and confronted her babydaddy, Palestine police officer Josh Green, who was there having dinner with his latest fling. Polston had the couple’s daughter, Anna, who is two-and-a-half, with her.
Green, reportedly egging on Polston, got them into a verbal altercation that resulted in Polston allegedly whipping out a sharp pair of scissors from her purse and stabbing Green through the arm with them, as recounted in this post from late last night.
It remains unclear what Polston is charged with, although the Indiana equivalent of Illinois’ Aggravated Battery or Domestic Battery is likely a good guess.
Green has, to an extent, been begging for this kind of thing to happen for years.
Instead of excising her from his life and fighting for custody of his daughter like he should have done years ago when she was constantly attacking him and biting his penis (I’d give you a link, but that was before we were online with the e-Edition; you’ll have to go to a back issue vendor or order one from us to see the story), Green kept Polston on a string and allowed her and his daughter to live in the house he’d purchased for them in better days, this despite numerous OPs he, his family and other girlfriends filed against her. Polston, according to official reports we began collecting in 2011, follows Green incessantly, stalking him, and creating havoc in his life. An altercation he got into with her brother in rural Allendale in 2010 resulted in a temporary suspension of Green from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department until the matter was resolved with a misdemeanor conviction.
In the meantime, Green had been flitting from one female to another, many of them all at the same time and in different venues. Sources in Bridgeport have advised for over a year that women reported to them that Green, who worked as a part-time officer in that burg, had stopped them for one infraction or another, then told them that if they met him at the park in town, all would be forgiven. As of last night, it was reported to Disclosure, one of Green’s more recent impregnees had birthed yet another child to add to the growing collection, this new Green offspring being only three weeks old at the time of Polston’s alleged attack last night. Yet, despite that, Green was reported with yet another filly in Denny’s, not the most recent babymomma, this one reportedly from Wayne County, and the two were spotted at the Cisne Reunion last weekend.
For the past year, Green had been telling several of his other girlfriends that he was “really trying to break it off with Polston” (despite letting her live rent-free in his house and maintaining the appearance of them being a “couple,” which, in her already-twisted way of thinking, meant they were “together” and that gave her the right to harass his other girlfriends), but was holding off until he was in a better position financially to go after custody of Anna. His fear was that she was beginning to display behaviors like her mother’s, of temper tantrums wherein Polston would run her head through the plaster on a wall, or bang it against the refrigerator until the fridge dented.
However, he apparently couldn’t keep it in his pants long enough to get himself established in a job where he could make the money needed to battle Polston in court; in fact, no Family case has even been taken up in Lawrence County circuit court or elsewhere. The 28-year-old irresponsible cop apparently just believed he could go along fertilizing the planet until, perhaps, he found a female whose family had enough money to help him with the legal battle. Sources very close to that situation have indicated that this very nearly happened, but has been thwarted in recent weeks due to the common sense the young woman he’d been dating for the better part of a year showed: she wised up and dumped him, and apparently just in time.
Where Anna is right now while her mother is finally jailed for her allegedly insane acts remains unknown at this time. Authorities have told Disclosure Green was treated last night at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes for the serious stab wound, but whether or not he has been released remains unknown.
When formal charges against Polston are announced tomorrow, we’ll bring it. Keep checking back.
