VINCENNES, Ind.—A former Lawrence County deputy, now a Palestine (Crawford County) police officer was hospitalized this evening after a verbal altercation with one of his babymommas turned violent inside a Vincennes eatery.
Josh Green, 28, of Bridgeport (Lawrence County) was at Denny’s restaurant on Sixth Street in Vincennes with a new girlfriend when babymomma Lyndsey Polston, 25, who has a tendency to stalk Green, entered with his three-year old daughter and started an altercation with him.
According to witnesses at the scene, Green was egging on Polston, giving her a hard time, when she hauled off and stabbed him with a pair of scissors that witnesses believe came out of her purse. The stab went all the way through Green’s arm, with the scissors remaining in place while he reportedly staggered out to his truck in the parking lot, shouting, ”That crazy bitch just stabbed me in the fucking arm!!!” Leaving a blood trail out to his truck, the scissors finally fell out of the wound when Green made it outside.
By this point reports were being made to local police (about 8:20 p.m.) and Vincennes’ finest began arriving in droves.
They secured the scene and took three women into custody, this according to Dispatcher Thompson at Vincennes PD, who could not give the names of those taken in, but at 11:22 p.m. when Disclosure made the call, Thompson advised that all three were currently still being interviewed and no one had been booked into the county jail. Sources at the restaurant described a woman who fit the description of Green’s first wife, Samantha, but why she would be there is anyone’s guess at this point.
Green had already been taken to Good Samaritan in Vincennes for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
Disclosure staff was on scene not long after the incident, and immediately began shooting stills of the scene at Green’s truck (as you can see above and below), being processed behind crime scene tape. Disclosure shot the photos in the parking lot, which is considered (for legal purposes) a “public way,” and well out of the way of those working to process it, yet Vincennes police immediately began harassing staff for taking photos. Staffer was approached by one particular Vincennes officer who advised her that she could not take the photos and that he was going to confiscate her phone and use the photos already taken “as evidence in court.” Staffer advised the officer that he could go right ahead, and she’d be seeing him in a courtroom on a civil rights violation lawsuit. This officer stormed off, and another (who later advised that he and his wife were both big fans of Disclosure), told our staffer that the fellow officer was “having a bad night.”
The crime scene was wrapped up at 10:56 p.m. with a few police cars still hanging around the parking lot when staff photographers left.
As can be ascertained by her record, Polston has had numerous OPs taken out against her by Green and those he dates, requesting the court protect them from her, as she is largely certifiably nuts. Green has been in a battle to get their child-in-common, Anna, from Polston. This might just be the thing to do it; however, witnesses are describing behavior on Green’s part that may have provoked Polston, and since he himself has frequently described her as “a nut,” one might think he’d have learned by now (after nearly losing his certification over beating up her brother three years ago in Wabash County) and might not have set up a scenario that would tip Polston over the edge again.
The likelihood that the Vincennes police behaved the way they did because of Green being a fellow officer (he has recently been hired on in Palestine after working for a number of years in Lawrence County) is a good one.
However, Green is roughly the equivalent of a pollinating bee when it comes to babymommas: Not only does he have Samantha as an ex-wife/babymomma, and Lyndsey as an ex-girlfriend babymomma, but he currently has another babymomma in Vincennes, this infant being only three weeks old. Our sources indicate the girl he was with is not babymomma number 3; whether she’s soon-to-be number 4 remains unknown at this time.
Green appears intent on pursuing the lifestyle that has in the past created such a bad name for Lawrence County law enforcement by breeding indiscriminately and getting hooked up with questionable females, this image which current sheriff Russell Adams has tried so hard to overcome for his department, and at least succeeded in getting Green out before his bad habits came back to bite the department in the rear.
More as it develops; keep checking back.
