EDWARDS CO.—Dang; Ron Luthe. We know the guy, have covered various events he volunteered for or was active in, for a number of years while working at Edwards County papers.
Now, we’re reporting the latest…a criminal charge that’s been filed against him.
Luthe, 59, has been charged in Edwards County circuit court with a felony count of Theft as of last Friday, August. 9.
The count alleges that on or about May 12 of this year, Luthe committed the act by taking property (cash) belonging to Albion Mixed Bowling League: $3,217 in prize money for the league, which he oversaw as the league’s secretary/treasurer.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was, posting $3,500 cash…ironically.
