SALINE CO., Ill. - Among the multitude of felonies filed in Saline County in March, only a few were non-dope-related.
Unfortunately, the non-dope felonies are either crimes of violence or crimes against persons or property, and amongst that latter is sex offenses charged.
On March 19, one of those was filed against an Ozark, Illinois man.
That’d be Daniel E. Headrick, 40, of the 500 block of Ozark Road in that little Johnson County burg.
Headrick is accused of two counts of Class 2 felony Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, both dating back to December 15, 2018, in Saline County.
At that time, charges indicate, Headrick is accused of committing an act of sexual conduct with a female victim, age 14. Charging documents allege that under the circumstances of both charges, Headrick touched the teen’s vagina through her clothing.
As well, Headrick has been charged with a single Class A misdemeanor count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, which alleges that on that same December 2018 date, Headrick knowingly coerced or persuaded the teen to remove her clothing for the purpose of his own sexual arousal or gratification.
Bond was set at $5,000 cash following a hearing on March 25; Headrick has been set for an April 25 appearance on the charges.
