CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers has released information about a two-vehicle traffic accident on U.S. 50 that's one of those "folks from all over" things we see fairly frequently.
Myers said that yesterday (Wednesday, April 3), the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash at 12:10 p.m. at the
intersection of North Church Street and U.S. Hwy 50, Xenia.
Apparently Roy K. Estheimer, 52, of Geff in Wayne County, operating a 1994 Mack Truck, was traveling north on Church Street, failed to stop at the
stop sign, entered Hwy 50 and was struck by an eastbound 2012 Ford Truck operated by Roy A. Schlosser, 75, of Robinson in Crawford County.
Minor injuries were reported in the collision. Estheimer was cited for Failure to Yield at Intersection. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court.
