FLORA, Ill. - Flora Chief of Police Guye Durre has issued a full-scale report for his department's recent activity, which basically covers the entire month of March.
Here's the big report.
On Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 7:08 pm, Flora Police arrested Kelly Novak, 49 of Flora for Trespassing after an incident in the 800 block of E. North Ave. She was transported to the Flora Police Dept for booking procedures and was released with a Clay Co. court date.
On Thursday March 14, 2019 Flora Police investigated an accident at Flora Walmart involving a parked 2015 Chrysler Town and County owned by Mary Knight, 61 of Flora.
On Friday March 15, 2019 at 1:16 am, Flora Police issued Jamie A. Wilkin, 40 of Clay City citations for operating uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at S. Mill St. and E. Maple St.
On Monday March 18, 2019 at 3:42 pm, Flora Police investigated a traffic crash in the 700 block of E. North Ave. Involved was a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Tabitha A. Polcyn, 29 of Flora, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driving by a juvenile of Flora and a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by
Sierra R Eastin, 18 of Clay City. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 8:57 pm, Flora Police issued Austin J. West, 25 of Flora citations for driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and a local ordinance citation for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 300 block of W.
Washington St. West also had an active warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge out of Fulton County. He was transported to the Flora Police Dept for booking procedures and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department. Diane M. Berry, who was a passenger in the West vehicle also received a local ordinance citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 10:30 pm, Flora Police issued Norman L. Strange, 55 of Flora a local ordinance citation for burning violation after an incident on Skyline Dr.
On Thursday March 21, 2019 at 7:45 am, Flora Police arrested Kelly S. Novak, 49 of Flora on a Clay County warrant in the 1000 block of E. North Ave. She was transported to the Flora Police Department for booking procedures, she was unable to post bond and was transferred into the custody of the Clay Co. Sheriff’s Dept.
On Sunday March 24, 2019 at 1:08 am Flora police issued Jillian M Metzger, 38 of Flora a citation for expired registration after a traffic stop on Vincennes Ave and S. Mill St.On Monday March 25, 2019 at 5:23 pm Flora police arrested Tiffany L. Beard, 32 of Flora on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. She was transported to the Flora Police Dept for booking procedures, unable to post bond and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept.
On Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 6:28 am Flora Police investigated a traffic crash at Hwy 50 and N. Worthey St involving a 2011 Chevy driven by Francis D. Guinn, 29 of Louisville. No citations or injuries reported.
On Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 2:22 pm Flora police issued Joseph C. Lee, 62 of Xenia a citation for Driving while license revoked following a traffic stop in the 800 block of W. 8th St.
On Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 3:12 pm Flora police investigated an accident at E. North Ave and Oak St. involving Elizabeth A. Oates, 21 of Louisville driving a 2009 Buick and Pamela H. Bennett, 47 of Noble driving a 2003 Chevrolet. Police issued citation to Oates for failure to
reduce speed to avoid accident. There were no injuries reported.
On Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 7:43 pm Dwight B. Buffington, 26 of Flora was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant. Buffington posted the necessary bond and was released with a notice to appear in Court.
On Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 1:48 am Flora police issued Abby M. Tolliver, 20 of Louisville citation for speeding in the 500 Blk. of S. Mill St.
On Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 3:05 pm Shannon E. Beckemeyer, 39 of Dix was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant. Beckemeyer was transported to the Flora Police Dept for booking procedures, was unable to post bond and was transferred into the custody of the Clay
County Sheriff’s Dept.
On Friday March 29, 2019 at 12:15 pm Flora police issued Melissa S. Bolden, 45 of Springfield, a citation for speeding on Hwy 50 at Ginger Rd.
On Friday March 29, 2019 at 12:30 pm Flora police investigated a hit and run accident involving Tracy Atwood, 39 of Xenia after reporting that her vehicle had been struck while parked at the Floyd Henson Jr. High School.
On Friday March 29, 2019 at 1:02 pm Flora police issued Brandon R. Olden, 25 of Flora a citation for speeding on Hwy 50 at N. Stanford Rd.
On Friday March 29, 2019 at 7:14 pm Flora police issued Kristina R. Perkins, 27 of Xenia a citation for operating uninsured motor vehicle following traffic stop in the 800 block of Meadowview Dr.
On Friday March 29, 2019 at 7:39 pm Flora police issued Garrett L.L. Landreth, 19 of Flora a citation for operating uninsured motor vehicle following traffic stop at S Locust and Lincoln Ave.
On Saturday March 30, 2019 at 10:13 pm Flora police issued John A. McKinney, 20 of Cisne a citation for operating uninsured motor vehicle following traffic stop in the 100 block of S State.
On Saturday March 31, 2019 at 11:13 am Flora police investigated a traffic crash at N Main St. and E 3rd St. involving Cole M. Honeyman, 27 of Xenia driving a 2018 Ford Sedan and Cody R. Birch, 26 of Flora driving a 2010 Ford Coupe. Police issued citation to Honeyman for disobeying stop sign. There were no injuries reported.
On Saturday March 31, 2019 at 10:56 pm Flora police issued Noah C. L. White, 21 of Dahlgren a citation for speeding at E. North Ave and S. Stanford.
On Saturday March 31, 2019 at 11:11 pm Flora police issued Ethan J. Young, 28 of Xenia citation for driving while license revoked, local ordinance citation’s for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. 2nd St.
