LAWRENCE CO., Ill. - Just a few weeks after his father was hauled back to the hoosegow, a West Salem guy found himself behind bars for a little while yesterday (Tuesday, March 26, 2019) in an adjacent county.

Ethan Taylor, 23, son of Todd Taylor (whose latest woes coming out of Wabash County can be found at this link), was arrested in Lawrenceville Tuesday at an undisclosed location and charged with Retail Theft (likely it was Walmart, since there really isn't another place in Lawrenceville to commit retail theft unless it's a gas station/convenience store, or package store).

Likely also it was a misdemeanor charge, as reports indicate that Taylor was able to post bond to secure his release.

The problem is that Taylor, at his young age, is a felon a couple of times over, and while Retail Theft might be new to his alleged bag of tricks (here's a link to previous articles about his criminal habits), generally prosecutors frown on such activity especially after a young man has spent some time in prison.

We'll see what Michael Strange does; be watching for updates.
