MARION, Ill. - It’s a brief report from Marion City Police Department, but it only covers a few days (March 18, 19 and 20) with activity that rivals a week’s worth of work elsewhere, and as well, that time frame was several days before the big blackout that occurred this past weekend…so we’ll see what emerges from that.

Kurt Richmond II, 34 of DeSoto has been issued citations for Retail Theft at Menard’s and Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer on March 18.
Melissa Pena, 28 of Johnston City has been arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines in the area of Main St and Carbon St on March 19.
Amanda Schott, 34 of Makanda has been arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines in the area of Main St and Carbon St on March 19.
Michael Canter, 43 of Carbondale has been arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines in the area of Main St and Carbon St on March 19.
Joseph Cottingham, 39 of Marion has been arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on March 20, in the area of DeYoung St and Fair St.
Christina Leonard, 33 of Makanda has been arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines in the area of White St and Court St on March 20.
