SALINE CO., Ill. - A Harrisburg resident is asking for some help locating his missing pooch.

Reader Mike Hale, now of Harrisburg but formerly of Eldorado, has contacted us to let us know that his dog Carter (shown in the above photo, the copper-colored dog next to the little terrier) has been missing since the end of February, and he's hoping someone has seen Carter and might even be housing him, waiting for an owner to show up.

Hale said that on Feb. 27, he had a wreck on Highway 45 near the Wasson intersection. Carter was with him, but following the wreck he ran off. Hale has been looking for Carter ever since, and so decided to contact us so we could get the word out that Hale is looking for the dog...so here's your chance to reunite pet and pet owner. Carter is the aforementioned copper color, with a white patch on his chest. He has a distinctive facial feature: He has an underbite, and is missing his top teeth between the two canine teeth.

If you've seen Carter, give us a shout at admin@disclosurenewsonline.com, or Hale at porky975@hotmail.com. We're sure both of them would thank you profusely for every share you can give it, so let's do it...flood your social networking pages with this, and let's see if we can get Carter home!
