CARMI, Ill. - Dope stuffed in a bra seems to be a fave hiding place for many people getting arrested, but some folks might want to re-think the strategy, especially if they've got a felony warrant sitting in wait for them.
Such was the case in this incident from Carmi PD.
At 10:34 a.m. yesterday (Thursday, march 21), one Tiffany Perusky, 27 of Carmi, was stopped on Cherry Street at Church Street in town due to an officer recognizing her driving and knowing she was wanted on a felony Theft warrant.
When she was stopped and apprehended, Perusky admitted she had meth stuffed in her bra; this was removed by a female correctional officer at the jail later. Police report that the weight of the baggy was 3:14 grams.
A search of the vehicle she was driving produced three schedule 2 Vyvanse pills, one gram of cannabis, scales, cannabis wax, a baggy and a pen with meth residue, a glass pipe and a metal grinder.
Perusky was charged with Use Prohibited (the vehicle, which is how the cars get seized so the county can make a few bucks at auction upon conviction), Possession of a Controlled Substance (the pills), Possession of Meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
As of this afternoon, Perusky was still being held at the White County Jail in Carmi.
