
CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers and his deputies had an active St. Patrick's Day weekend that ran right into the first of the week this week, as the activity report shows.
On March 16, Jose A. Urbina, 35, Berwyn, Illinois, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $6,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was
released.
March 16, Mary D. Frank, 51, Sandoval, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Retail Theft. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). She posted bond and was released.
March 16, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Taylor Pride, 18, Clay City, for Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving While Driver's License Suspended. She was given a Notice to Appear and released.
March 17, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy cited Aaron Anthony, 40, Clay City, for two Clay City ordinances Dogs at Large. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court.
March 18, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 3:14 p.m. north of the intersection of Walnut Street and S. 8th SE, Clay City. Apparently Isaiah Goodlander, 30, Clay City, operating a 1994 Dodge was traveling south on Walnut Street and was struck by 2017 Chevrolet operated by a 17 year old female from Clay City, who was
backing onto the roadway. No injuries reported.
March 18, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 5:36 p.m. at Rt. 50 and S. Main, Clay City. Apparently Jacquelyn J. Evans, 69, Clay City, operating a 2003 Jeep, was traveling east on Hwy 50 approaching the intersection when a 2014 Ford Utility, operated by Gary W. Pearce, 69, Flora, entered the intersection striking the Evans vehicle. Minor injuries were reported.
