
CLAY CO., Ill. - Another trucker from outside the country getting in trouble locally, as well as plenty of FTA warrants otherwise, highlight this report from Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers.
The trucker is Gurjit Bhatt, 52, of Ontario, who on February 28 was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Overwidth Load. Bond set at $1,500.00 (10 percent). He
posted bond and was released.
Feb. 28, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Shane Horsley, 45, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
Feb. 28, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Neal Durham, 34, Louisville, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Battery. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
March 1, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of motor vehicle accident at 12:20 p.m. Apparently Elijah McKnelly, 24, Clay City, was traveling west on Hwy. 50 at Dutchhale Road, stopped for traffic and was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet vehicle operated by Macy D. Anderson, 19, Clay City, who was also traveling westbound. Anderson was cited for Failure to
Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. No injuries reported.
March 1, Charles D. Crain, 32, Salem, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

March 4, Bobby L. Horton, 56, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Revoked. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
March 4, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested David A. Phillips, 45, Louisville, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent). Phillips was also arrested for Driving while Driver's License Suspended. Phillips posted bond and was released.
March 5, Anthony Haislip, 57, Belleville, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

March 5, Jay Clasper, 42, Kinmundy, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Production of Cannabis. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
March 5, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Kyle Lewis, 26, Clay City, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Accident with Injuries. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
