The three IDOC employees charged

ILLINOIS - The mystery surrounding three Illinois Department of Corrections employees who have been charged with battery in the course of their employ is unfolding, thanks to a media outlet in upstate Illinois.

A TV station up north has been the first to reveal that the three who have been charged with battery of an inmate - which we featured in this article mid-week this week - were all employees at Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac, Illinois, located in Livingston County in north-central Illinois.

That's about all the additional information that's come in. We still don't know who it was that was allegedly battered, nor any of the circumstances surrounding the alleged battery. We only know the charges (Official Misconduct and Battery), the names of those charged (Correctional Officer Giovanni Rodriguez, Sergeant Jason Cremer and Lieutenant James Fike), and when the alleged battery occurred (February 3, 2019).

We put out a call Wednesday for anyone with any info on the reality of this situation to contact us, and an astute reader did. If anyone else has any info, feel free to pass it along: Either disclosurenewsonline@yahoo.com or jack@disclosurenewsonline.com.
