
CLAY CO., Ill. - Meth seems to be undergoing a resurgence in the area, as department after department in the coverage area is reporting more and more arrests.

Feb. 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Matthew Phillips, 42, Clay City, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Phillips is also being charged with a new charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $100,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Feb. 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Dylan Hampton, 29, Louisville, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Criminal Damage to Property. Hampton is also being charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $50,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Feb. 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Tiffany L. Beard, 30, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She appeared in Clay County court and was released. Beard was also wanted on an outstanding Richland County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She was transported to Richland County Jail.
Feb. 27, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Jeremiah Leigh, 30, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Defrauding Drug or Alcohol Screening Test. Bond set at $4,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. Leigh posted bond. Leigh is also being charged with Violation of Probation on the original charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Defrauding Drug or Alcohol Screening Test. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Feb. 28, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy cited Ashley Belcher, 31, Farina for Disobeying Traffic Control Device. She was given a Notice to Appear and released.
