
GOLCONDA, Ill. - Had the opportunity to be on the riverfront of the Ohio in Golconda (Pope County, Ill.) Friday when the fog was on.

The water was actually still rising at that point. According to the experts (see above), the river crested yesterday morning at Golconda (Monday, February 26) and is now falling, meaning it's rising in other locations further south, which has resulted in some serious flooding down in Massac County (in particular, Metropolis, which you can read about in this report by KFVS).
