
CLAY CO., Ill. - The end of January was a mild one for Clay County Sheriff's Department deputies despite bitterly cold temperatures, but when the mercury rose at the beginning of February, so did the calls for assistance or arrest.
Here's the report as provided by Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers.
January 29, Tyler J. Stewart, 32, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
Jan. 30, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 9:00 p.m. west of the intersection of Ironwood Rd and Buttonwood Road. Apparently Alexis L. Barnick, 25, Louisville, operating a 1995 Honda was traveling east on U.S. Route 50, slid on the roadway, left the roadway and struck a tree. She was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle. She was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court.
Jan. 30, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Nicole Logan, 38, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $4,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
Jan. 31, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Roger R. Hutchinson, 31, Keenes, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
February 1, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Tasha L. Enriquez, 23, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent). She posted bond and was released.
Feb. 2, Albert R. Harper, 35, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Intimidation and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $100,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Feb. 3, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 6:24 p.m. at Old Hwy 50 and Church Street in Xenia. Apparently Kenneth L. Willison, 88, Xenia, operating a 2011 Ford Ranger was traveling west on Old Route 50, failed to stop at the stop sign, striking a northbound 2001 Chrysler Van operated by William O. Landreth, 50, Flora. Willison was cited for Disobeying Traffic Control Device. Minor injuries reported.

Feb. 4, Michael R. Schoonover, 33, Olney, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Contempt of Court. Bond set at $100.00 cash. He posted bond and was released.
Feb. 4, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Ethan C. Young, 22, Louisville for Disorderly Conduct. Bond set at $1,500.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.
Feb. 6, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Kelly Noval, 49, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Aggravated Battery to a Peace Office. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Feb. 6, Ronnie D. Keebler, 31, Noble, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Aggravated Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Bond set at $2,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
