CARMI, Ill. - So many warrant arrests take place at Pundrake in Carmi that it's a wonder they're not yet on the public payroll.
Maybe someone can make that suggestion; in the meantime, the latest arrest has to do with a Carmi woman accused of forgery. Two counts, to be precise.
This one went down yesterday morning (Thursday, January 31) at 10:48 a.m. when Carmi police were either called to or lucked out at the gas station/convenience store in midtown Carmi in the warrant arrest of Priscilla R. Sears, 34 of Carmi.
Sears has been charged in White County Circuit Court with two counts of Forgery dating back to Jan. 14, 2019; both are Class 3 felonies.
She was taken into custody apparently without incident and held pending the posting of $2,500 bail ($250 cash).
