CLAY CO., Ill. - We might yet learn that the crims and traffic accidents took a break during this week's bitter cold, but in the days leading up to it, there wasn't a whole lot gong on in Clay County, as this Clay County Sheriff's Department report indicates.
Sheriff Andy Myers said that on January 24, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Joshua B. Artis, 18, Flora, for Speeding, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Obstructing Justice. Bond set at $5,000.00
(10 percent). He posted bond on a later day and was released.
Jan. 24, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Zachary Schnautz, 38, Clay City, for Domestic Battery. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond on a later day and was released.
Jan. 25, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Al J. Butts, 57, Kinmundy, for Violation of Bond on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $250,000.00 (10 percent).
Jan. 27, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Donald K. Logan, 30, Louisville, for Domestic Battery. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond on a later day and was released.
