EDWARDS CO., Ill. - A Grayville man who has spent the larger part of his life being in trouble in one county after another is headed off to another stint in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Edwards County State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger advises that 33-year old Joseph E. Stoneberger of Grayville was sentenced Friday, January 25, 2019 to a total of 18 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 1 year of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as “parole”) in Edwards County Case No. 2018-CF-19.
Stoneberger pled guilty to the offense of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and defense attorney Roger White represented the defendant, Joseph E. Stoneberger. The case was investigated by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department.
Regular readers will recall that Stoneberger was the dweeb who, years before Disclosure went online and was only a print version, was the guy who was caught in a house on the main drag in Albion during a party, having relations with the host's wife. Stoneberger, buck naked, climbed out onto the roof of the house to escape the pursuing spouse, and had to be rescued by local volunteer firemen.
He's been going downhill ever since.
