FLORA, Ill. - The snow and ice we received over the weekend were likely contributing factors in a couple of the numerous accidents featured in today's Flora City Police report, as provided by Chief Guye Durre.
On Monday January 14, 2019 at 4:45 pm, Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at E North Ave and S Mill St. Involved was Tyrone Tripp, 68 of Kenner, Louisiana, driving a 2019 Hyundai semi, who was turning south onto E North Ave when he struck the Stop Light at S Mill St. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Monday January 14, 2019 at 5:20 pm, Flora Police Department arrested Cyler S. Pride, 24 of Flora on Possession of Cannabis 10-30 grams. This was following an investigation in the 200 block of W. North Ave in Flora. Pride underwent booking procedures and was released with a court date.
On Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 2:43 pm, Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at W North Ave and N Main St. Involved were Chrystal A. Reid, 40 of Flora, driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty, Mellysa D Rodes, 27 of Flora, driving a 2016 Dodge Journey and James L. Fehrenbacher, 70 of Flora, driving a 2014 Buick. There were no injuries and Reid was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.
On Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 11:23 am, Flora Police Department arrested Charles C. Clark Jr., 54 of Flora for Disorderly Conduct. This was following an investigation in the 500 block of W. 3 rd st. Clark underwent booking procedures and was released with a court date.
On Saturday January 19, 2019 at 3:40 pm, Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at Hwy 50 and N Worthey St. Involved were Shay L Allen, 27 of Flora, driving a 2005 Pontiac 4 door and Tangala T Griffin, 38 of Mt Vernon, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Utility. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Sunday January 20, 2019 at 4:05 am, Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of North Worthey St. Involved was James L Petrea, 32 of Iuka, driving a 2016 Ford Utility. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
