WABASH CO., Ill./GIBSON CO., Ind. - A name familiar to many dopers across several counties in Illinois and Indiana - including not only Wabash where she's a convict, but Lawrence as well - is back in the headlines after getting arrested Monday, January 14.
Jennifer R. Jones, 25, most recently of the women's prison in Decatur, was arrested in Gibson County, Indiana, Monday. She's been charged there with felony Identity Deception, misdemeanor False Informing, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Details of the arrest have not been made readily available, but a good guess is that she was approached by law enforcement for whatever reason, and apparently not wanting to go back to prison, didn't tell them who she actually was.
That might be because she also apparently is not off parole just yet; her parole status through Illinois Department of Corrections is listed on the website as "absconder," meaning she's on reporting parole but hasn't been reporting since being released in September of 2017. Jones, the ex-something of well-known Wabash/Lawrence nark Cameron Jones, spent most of 2016 slinging dope across Wabash County and getting arrested for it, until finally, prosecutor Cassandra Goldman had enough and sent lil Jenn packing to DOC.
