CARMI, Ill. - A Carmi woman was taken into custody in an early-morning arrest yesterday in an unusual venue: Walmart.
Carmi police made the arrest of Heather Bond, 35, of an address on the 500 block of North Seventh Street, at 1:07 a.m. yesterday, Friday, January 4.
Interestingly enough, the warrant - on a 2018 misdemeanor case - was for Retail Theft (there was also an attendant charge of Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.)
What she was doing that attracted attention to her while in Walmart is anyone's guess; the police report provided doesn't indicate anything of that nature.
However, Bond was able to...bond ...out, and went on her way with a court date.
