MARION, Ill. - A family in Marion is fairly upset this evening after their Ring.com app caught an alleged vandal trespassing on their lawn, and with other vandalism reported in the neighborhood, folks are saying to keep an eye out.
Several homes had Christmas decorations vandalized last night (Friday, December 7) in the city of Marion on the north side of town. This video - which is available at this link and from which the screencap at the top of the article was taken - was captured at approximately 12:05 a.m. this morning (Dec. 8) on the northeast side of town at a residence there.
A suspect's key was later found at another home nearby that was also vandalized, where culprits slashed a snowman.
There was also a report of a vandalism on South Carbon, where the resident's nativity scene was pulled from the stakes; a pig was destroyed.
If anyone has video or was vandalized last evening, please contact Marion Police Department. One individual so far is pressing charges against the suspect and his accomplices; when that's done, we'll bring it. Be watching.
