CARMI, Ill. - A single arrest was conducted in the early morning hours this morning, according to Carmi's city police department report.
Carmi police say that early this morning (Wednesday, December 5) at 12:41 a.m., an officer made a traffic stop on Smith Street at Schumaker in Carmi.
There, the officer discovered Beth Ann Allen, 25, of Carmi, driving a vehicle with an alleged improper display of vehicle registration (reports show that the plate on display for the vehicle she was driving belonged to another vehicle). Upon further investigation, the officer discovered that she was also operating that vehicle uninsured.
Allen was taken into custody on the charges, which are misdemeanors but arrestable offenses; she was able to post bond to secure her release.
