PALESTINE, Ill. - A tip submitted by a law enforcement officer to the village police chief in Palestine lead to the arrest of a man wanted on a felony probation violation warrant.
On Monday evening (November 26) at approximately 6:47 p.m., Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing received information from Crawford County Deputy Michael Delaney that a male subject identified as Eli M. Miller, 26, was wanted on the felony Probation Violation warrant and was possibly at a residence in the 500 block of E. Franklin Street.
Both Chief Besing and Deputy Delaney went to this location and took the Miller subject into custody without incident.
Miller was transported to the Crawford County Jail by Chief Besing, where he was served with his warrant and is being held on a $1,000 cash bond.
