MT. CARMEL, Ill. - It was a relatively quiet Turkey Day week last week for Mt. Carmel city police, with only three incidents to report.
The first came on Wednesday, November 21, when Mt. Carmel Police arrested Terry W. Beavers, 38 of Mt. Carmel, on a Wabash County warrant for Deceptive Practice. Beavers was observed driving a black Chevrolet truck and stopped in the 800 block of Cherry Street. He was placed under arrest for the warrant and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Upon arrival Beavers was served the warrant and held pending the posting of a $100 cash bond.
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, city police arrested Kaleigh C. Singer, 26 of Mt. Carmel, on a Wabash County warrant for Failure to Appear. Singer was observed in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street where she was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Upon arrival Singer was served the warrant and held on a $1,000 cash bond.
Then on Friday, Nov. 23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jagger S. Baird, 20 of Mt. Carmel, on a Wabash County warrant for Theft. Baird was placed under arrest at the police department when he arrived to see why police had been looking for him. Baird was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant and held on a $300 cash bond.
