WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - This past week being election week, it appears the alleged crims gave authorities a break (maybe they were glued to their computers or TVs watching returns), as the new felony filings were slim.
However, court officials apparently weren’t shirking, even though the election was upon them, and many cases, including those involving out-of-area crims from Chicago, Carbondale and even Harrisburg, were disposed of in court one way or another.
