Theft and damage at village laundromat addressed by police chief; reward being offered

PALESTINE, Ill. - The Palestine Police Department is seeking information in reference to the investigation of Criminal Damage to Property and Theft that occurred sometime between last night (Thursday night, November 8) and this morning (Friday morning, Nov. 9) at the Sudsy-Dudsy Laundromat located in the 100 block of E. Harrison Street, Palestine.

Person(s) unknown entered the Sudsy-Dudsy and damaged the surveillance equipment (cameras, recording devices and TV monitor). The suspect(s) also damaged a surveillance camera on the outside of the building as well.

Anyone having information as to the person(s) responsible is being asked to contact Chief Jeff Besing at the Palestine Police Department (586-2464) or Crawford County Crimestoppers at 1-888-596-7867.

A monetary reward is available leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for this criminal act. You do not have to give your name when calling the Crimestoppers' Hotline.
