The de-platforming of a popular social networking site hit a snag when another hosting provider stepped up to cover their host site loss.
Gab.com, an alternative to the libwhack nutjob platforms out there such as Facebook and Twitter, was dumped by their hosting (GoDaddy, which has always been questionable and easily swayed by the powers-that-be) right after the synagogue shooting a couple of weeks ago; if you are an online member, you can read about it at this link. A couple of days ago, they came back. They are now hosted by a service that is continually under fire for even hosting Gab, as if Gab were solely responsible for what Robert Bowers (the synagogue shooter) did. That's the problem in this world right now: There are too many people in influential positions or positions of authority who want to blame everyone and everything else for something that is the sole responsibility of one person. The PTBs and the libwhacks out there are blaming Gab, guns, policies, anti-Semites etc for that shooting, instead of laying the blame solely on Bowers and moving on. We know that premise; we lived it for 15 years.
The host is Epik.com, which produced this remarkable post about the situation; here's a snip:
De-platforming a haven of free speech is not about left or right. Anyone who remembers studying civics is familiar with the concept of inalienable rights — rights that a worthy government can only protect but would have no moral authority to take away. The idea of Natural Law and Inalienable Rights dates back to Ancient Greece, if not before. Tolerance for competing views — including those protected by Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press — is not an American concept even though the Founding Fathers of the United States built a prosperous nation around the concept.
Epik is correct; it's not about left or right, nevertheless, the left is certainly making it so (because very nearly all big tech is completely, insanely leftarded; and certainly the majority of them probably never even had a passing nod toward a civics class). But Gab is soldiering on. Here's the message from Andrew Torba, Gab's founder:

They too have been targeted by a mainstream media smear campaign for simply supporting free expression and individual liberty. If you have your domains anywhere else, we'd recommend you transfer them to Epik.com to show your support. If not you can always send them an email or message on their site thanking them for helping keep Gab.com online.
There have already been outages this morning, but we have every reason to believe Gab will continue.
