PALESTINE, Ill. - The Palestine Police Department would like to forward a crime alert from a meeting that Chief Besing attended this morning in that there have been counterfeit $100 bills being passed around which is "movie money" and not a negotiable currency.
These $100 bills are fake and used in the movie production and can be purchased on E-Bay. There are plainly marked "For Motion Pictures Purposes" (see attached photos).
Please share this information with your friends and businesses in our community. Chief Besing has a photocopy of these bills if anyone would like to view those.
