HARRISBURG—We’ve heard today that none other than Dale Fowler might be tapped as the next city council member for the city of Harrisburg.

Dale Fowler, in a photo from the Saline County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page, originally shot for the Harrisburg Daily Register, and utilized via Fair Use Act
Fowler, whom we’re told is a commercial loan agent at Peoples National Bank in Harrisburg, has at least been suggested as a replacement for the low man on the totem pole that is the city council, as everyone moved up last week upon the resignation of Eric Gregg as mayor, and the seating of Ron Crank as mayo pro tem.
Our sources indicate that Fowler is a low-key, low-profile guy and a keen businessman, with nothing disreputable in his past…always a good thing for a potential public official.
His employer, however (at least a Franklin County variation of it), plays heavily in an upcoming article in the print version, which will be on stands in a week and here at the e-Edition next Monday night, July 22. You won’t want to miss this one; be sure your online subscription renews automatically, or, if you have a subscription to the print version, that you hurry and send in your check, money order or PayPal renewal before next Monday, when the subscription list is done.
