MARION, Ill. – Marion’s narcotics unit has reported another bust of a city resident who has been accused of moving ice, this after this week’s arrest of another mook who went down for the same thing.
This bust came about on August 27, when the Marion Police Department Narcotics Unit (MPDNU) initiated an investigation identifying Justin M. Opell, 35, as a supplier of methamphetamine.
A confidential source was utilized on multiple occasions to purchase methamphetamine from Opell, from his residence, located in the 400 block of E. Reeves Street.
A search warrant was later executed at his residence. During the search of the residence, detectives located crystal “ice” methamphetamine, cannabis production equipment, prescription medication, cannabis, packaging material, weighing equipment and drug paraphernalia.
Earlier today (Wednesday, August 19), Justin M. Opell was arrested and issued citations for Delivery of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Opell was conveyed to the Williamson County Jail Awaiting his first appearance.
