CARMI, Ill. - A successful locating of a Carmi man wanted on a White County felony dope warrant was probably the highlight of Carmi police activity Tuesday, and they're probably grateful for the break.
Carmi police reports indicate that one Benjamin Smith, 34, of a residence on Shipley Street, was found at his residence and taken into custody on the warrant, which was for Unlawful Delivery of Meth.
Smith was taken into custody without incident and transported to the White County Jail in Carmi where he was held pending posting of bond, and where he remained as of this afternoon.
